Me and the Dreamy DoomsdaySweet romantic comedy continues this series。 I recommend reading them in order。 The senior ladies are up to their unusual matchmaking。 A scenic camping trip leads to mischief and romance。 Intriguing characters and story。 Another Jessie Gussman winner。

This was a great book; very funny but with a good message behind it also。 I would highly recommend this book to anyone。

I really do like seeing real people brought into these stories。 And Hoover’s unexpectedly tender heart and how he can really dig deeply into things。 And these ladies and their antics。 Always a bright spot。 Makes me want to visit these places。 I really like the lessons on choices and doing hard things。I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review。

All in all, this is good, clean fun that's more than just fluff。 Recommended。Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author。 I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book。 。。。more

Very good book!I love it when I can personally relate to one of the characters in a good way。 For me, that would be Kori。It's funny how someone can have a full life and one day sit down and see what's really driving them。Side note - Hoover is a sweetheart! So many of this author's books hit me in areas I haven't examined。 Ouch!I highly recommend this book。 Very good book!I love it when I can personally relate to one of the characters in a good way。 For me, that would be Kori。It's funny how someone can have a full life and one day sit down and see what's really driving them。Side note - Hoover is a sweetheart! So many of this author's books hit me in areas I haven't examined。 Ouch!I highly recommend this book。 。。。more

Me and the Dreamy Doomsday by Jessie Gussman (5 stars)A bittersweet love story because one of our favorite ladies in the trio, Miss Agnes the penultimate matchmaker, is ill。 But a sweet love story all the same。 The issues that Kori deals with are ones that are easy to relate to: those of running away rather than allowing herself to become too deeply attached to anyone for fear of the pain it will cause if that person leaves or is taken away。 One thing I love about Ms。 Gussman’s books is that dee Me and the Dreamy Doomsday by Jessie Gussman (5 stars)A bittersweet love story because one of our favorite ladies in the trio, Miss Agnes the penultimate matchmaker, is ill。 But a sweet love story all the same。 The issues that Kori deals with are ones that are easy to relate to: those of running away rather than allowing herself to become too deeply attached to anyone for fear of the pain it will cause if that person leaves or is taken away。 One thing I love about Ms。 Gussman’s books is that deeper character issues are discussed and overcome, or at least the character is made aware of deeper issues that need work and they begin the process (usually with the support of the love interest who, in turn has issues of his/her own that are being worked on)。 I guess what I’m trying to say is that Ms。 Gussman write flawed characters who feel real and who inspire us readers to trust that God can change us for the better, too。 This book felt like the last of the series and I sincerely hope that it’s not。。。*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special 。。。more

It was fun returning to Good Grief, Idaho for this next story in the series。 I liked that this book focused on Kori and Hoover, who are definitely attracted to each other, but because they are such opposites neither one seemed sure of what to do about it。  Of course Kori is afraid of commitment to anything。  It was fun watching Miss Agnes and Miss Gertrude up to their old matchmaking tricks and only Good Grief could have an annual Chainsaw Festival。  I liked the inspiration and words of wisdom i It was fun returning to Good Grief, Idaho for this next story in the series。 I liked that this book focused on Kori and Hoover, who are definitely attracted to each other, but because they are such opposites neither one seemed sure of what to do about it。  Of course Kori is afraid of commitment to anything。  It was fun watching Miss Agnes and Miss Gertrude up to their old matchmaking tricks and only Good Grief could have an annual Chainsaw Festival。  I liked the inspiration and words of wisdom in the book。  The bucket list for the ladies of the Cherry Tree senior living center continued in this book and they were quite interesting。  You have to admire spunky, Miss Agnes  and her take charge attitude。  She certainly wove her matchmaking magic around Kori and Hoover。  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。 。。。more

What a light, funny, friendly and romantic cozy read。 Jessie Gussman did it again! I couldn’t put the book down until I completed it。 Some books tend to drag, but not this one。 If you follow Jessie online or through her weekly emails, there are some surprises in the book。 You’ll have to read it to find out what they are。 I highly recommend this book。 *** I received an advance reader copy for my honest review of this book。 ***

I loved reading this book! This is the best rom-com from Jessie Gussman so far! You definitely have read this book if you love small town romance with a laugh!

They say opposites attract, and Jesse has written one for the books。 Loved it。 So what do you get when a quiet backwoodsman runs head long into a bubbly gal who’s middle name might be adventure? You get the perfect formula for romance。 Enter Miss Agnes and the Ladies from Cherry Tree who have no problem meddling for the sake of a happily ever after。 When Kori decides not to pursue a relationship with Hoover for his own good, Miss Agnes might just have a plan。 Could love be in the air?

I was able to read a copy this for my honest thoughts on it。 It took a min to understand who voice I was reading at 1st。 But once I got in to it it was a fun light heart book about finding ones self and trusting ones heart and understanding another。 Full of laughter and antics from the town match maker。 I wish the ending had a little more。 Then again it leaves it open for another book。 A clean, sweet, short read。 I’ll be encourage my teen to read。 This series。

This was a delightful read。 It will make you laugh but also make you think。 Ms。 Gussman showed through Kori how sometimes we are our own worst enemy。 Yet, the loving care of someone such as Hoover can open us up to the possibilities of our life being greater than we imagine。

The latest of the 'Me and the 。。。' series is quite cute。 I really liked their chemistry but appreciated that she needed to get herself sorted first。 Agnes and cronies are sweet and silly as always, but also serious。 My experience of the story didn't quite match the blurb。 It was better than advertised。 :) I read an ARC of this story and am happy to offer this honest review。 The latest of the 'Me and the 。。。' series is quite cute。 I really liked their chemistry but appreciated that she needed to get herself sorted first。 Agnes and cronies are sweet and silly as always, but also serious。 My experience of the story didn't quite match the blurb。 It was better than advertised。 :) I read an ARC of this story and am happy to offer this honest review。 。。。more

Me and the Dreamy Doomsday is another zany, small town, romantic comedy from Jessie Gussman。 Once again we meet Miss Agnes and her bucket list。 Miss Agnes is still matchmaking as she hires a guide and a photographer for her risqué calendar shoot in the Idaho wilds。 You will not want to miss this well written adventure with these charismatic characters。 I could not put it down!

Kori and Hoover aren’t sure how they feel about each other, attraction or irritation。 With the “help” of the meddling Miss Agnes, Miss Gertrude and Miss Harriet they will discover their true feelings。This is a fun book each chapter is narrated by either Kori or Hoover’s viewpoint。

This whole series has been a lot of fun。 A lot of silly and lighthearted love and lessons。 This one was a little more。 A bit more of a life lesson than opposites attract。 A little sad even。 Miss Agnes and her bucket list has kept us quite entertained, and truly I want to keep a little Miss Agnes in me, and not let age stop me from living, from doing fun, crazy, silly things so that I always have a good story to tell。

I would have never put Kori or Hoover together。 But Miss Agnes has seen them together, and being the ultimate match maker that she is, she brings them together (subtly and not so subtly) again and again。 And they really love each other! I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion。 Another great book in this series by Jessie Gussman。 Great comedy scenes in this book and the turns the plot takes add to the interest of this book。 Again featured are the ladies from the senior living home and their bucket list。 Also featured are a fear of commitment by Kori, and her relationship with Hoover。 I would recommend reading this book。

Another wonderful story out of Good Grief, Idaho! Kori and Hoover are such a great example of opposites complementing each other, even though Kori fights it every step of the way。 The elderly ladies from Cherry Tree have to get into it, of course, especially Miss Agnes。 This one has lots of laughs, love, and bittersweet moments to keep you reading all the way to the end, and still wanting more。

I enjoyed this story so much! The characters were very entertaining and delightful to get to know。 Parts of the book I did find to be monotonous, but the rest of the book more than made up for it。 I recommend this book!
